General Overview of Services

We provide Grave Site Care Headstone Cleaning, Lichen Removal, Gravestone Repair, Monument Leveling, Planting of Flowers and Historic Marker Preservation

Service provided for:

Headstones, footstones, tombs, lawn markers, columbaria, mausoleums, statues, memorials, plaques and more

Materials cleaned and repaired:

Brownstone, Slate, Marble, Granite, Bronze, and more

Done on-site:  In Cemeteries, Family Plots, Historic Burying Grounds, and at Other Places of Honor and Memorials

We will provide a photographed and documented repair.

Any cleaning or repairs will be done in the correct manner to stop the damage or erosion from continuing and to not cause further harm.

We NEVER power wash or use harsh chemicals on any stones.

We will caringly restore your loved ones grave site.

Beyond the Gravestone located in Storrs Connecticut provides all phases of grave site and memorial care including:

  • Basic site survey visit with a photo sent to you
  • Gravesite cleaning and planting on a single or multiple visit plan

Call for a free estimate for the following:

  • Resetting a sunken or leaning Headstone or monument
  • Properly repairing a damaged or broken headstone or statue
  • Stabilize a historic stone or marker to preserve its history
  • Full restoration of a historic cemetery or family plot

General Services Provided:

1. Plot Care (See Packages Listed below)

Basic plot maintenance which includes:

  • Removal of debris, litter, leaves, and plant matter
  • Grass trimming, edging, weeding, and pruning of plants/bushes
  • Light cleaning of headstone/grave marker
  • Planting of flowers
  • Edging and mulching
  • Photos before and after

2. Headstone, Monument, and Marker Cleaning

  • Cleaning of headstones, monuments, or statues – we clean all types of current and historic headstones, including granite, marble, slate, and brownstone using soft bristle brushes and an eco-friendly Biological Solution that is specially formulated to remove environmental pollution, dirt, and staining from biological soils such as mold, mildew, lichen, and algae
  • Cleaning of grave markers – we clean and polish bronze grave markers

            We take extra care not to damage the stone in any way

 

3. Repair and Preservation: Free estimate

  • Correctly repair broken current and historic stones, monuments or memorials, and statues
  • Leveling a leaning stone
  • Securing a fallen or loose stone or monument
  • Stabilizing a historic stone

Chaffee Package

 

A one-time visit to the gravesite and offers the following:

  • Removal of litter, debris, and plant matter
  • Planting of flowers and/or bushes (depending on cemetery rules and regulations)
  • ‘Before’ and ‘After’ digital pictures sent via email or postal mail*


Hanks Package

 

a one-time visit to the grave site that includes the following:

  • Removal of litter, debris, and plant matter
  • Grass trimming and edging around headstone/marker
  • Weeding and raking of leaves and pruning of planted bushes
  • Watering of grass and flowers
  • Light cleaning of headstone/marker to remove dirt, bird droppings, etc.
  • Planting of flowers and/or bushes (depending on cemetery rules and regulations)
  • ‘Before’ and ‘After’ digital pictures sent via email or postal mail*


Atwood Package

 

is a convenient and affordable option – you get 3 visits to the grave site during the year and we’ll provide the following during each visit:

  • Removal of litter, debris, and plant matter
  • Grass trimming and edging around headstone/marker
  • Weeding and raking of leaves and pruning of plant bushes
  • Watering of grass and flowers
  • Light cleaning of headstone/marker to remove dirt, bird droppings, etc.
  • Planting of seasonal flowers or bushes (depending on cemetery rules and regulations)
  • ‘Before’ and ‘After’ digital pictures sent via email or postal mail*


Conant Package

 

 This is our all inclusive cleanup package:

  • Removal of litter, debris, and plant matter
  • Grass trimming and edging around headstone/marker
  • Weeding and raking of leaves and pruning of plant bushes
  • Watering of grass and flowers
  • Extensive cleaning of headstone/marker to remove dirt, bird droppings, lichen, algae, and other biological growth (multiple visits are required to achieve adequate removal of biological growth)
  • Planting of flowers and/or trees (depending on cemetery rules and regulations)
  • ‘Before’ and ‘After’ digital pictures sent via email or postal mail*

We only use soft bristle brushes and materials with an eco-friendly Biological Solution that is specially formulated to remove environmental pollution, dirt, and staining from biological soils such as mold, mildew, lichen, and algae

We take extra care not to damage the gravestone in any way

We will never power wash a stone!

*Before’ and ‘After’ pictures can be sent via postal mail for an additional fee.
