Cemetery Fair in East Hartford, CT

    Beyond the Gravestone attended a Unique Christmas Fair to support the Connecticut Gavestone Networks, East Hartford Center Cemetery project on Saturday December 8,  in East Hartford. We had a table displaying our services and met a number of people interested in this field. We had a great day talking about history and restoration and seeing the other vendors that were there. Beyond the Gravestone has been very busy this late fall having finished the Warrenville Cemetery in Ashford Ct.  and accepting the task of restoring the Knowlton Cemetery, also in Ashford Ct. Warrenville Cemetery

My son Justin & I spent from 10:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. yesterday cleaning stones. We are about halfway way done. Lots of details! He said… since he is working for me now, he is starting a Union. He wants our company to enforce Taco Tuesdays. What a fun time we had laughing under a bright yellow tree and a cool fall day! My son is priceless, what a goof he is!

“In memory of Louis Leo 1897 – 1942 Lost at sea WW II”

This past week we finished the cleaning of a stone in Dayville Ct. While brushing the dirt and debris from the names on the stone, we felt a sense of honor in what we were doing, making the names and dates clearly readable again, because they are people who were here on this earth for a time, and were loved. When we were done, the client was very pleased and sent us photos of one of the people whose name is on the stone.
